The September West Cobb PEACHES ride had lots of shade and plenty of sun. It was a beautiful day to be with friends on tandem.
Five teams started the ride. Team Borer, Team Livingood, Team Boland, and Team Polich. We were also joined by a wonderful new team Luis and Lilyana.
Four teams were on the 36-mile option and one team rode the 28-mile option. Traffic was a little heavier than we all expected, but drivers were patient and we didn’t have any problems. The long option had a store stop with about 11 miles to the finish. Instead of a group photo, I thought it would be nice to have a photo of our ride leaders Mark and Debbie with the new team Luis and Lilyana.
Unfortunately, Rich and Holly had mechanical issues cutting their ride short. Luis and Lilyana had other obligations. So, neither team was able to stay for lunch. We were joined at lunch by Bob and Christi Meara.
Lunch at Loco Willy’s did not disappoint. This Ahi tuna looks delicious.
Our next PEACHES ride will be hosted by Chris and Cheryl Horacek in October – stay tuned for details and a date which will be posted when we get that information.
