There was a great turnout for the ninth and final PEACHES ride of the year. The nine teams who braved the cold and blustery wind had a terrific time. We were honored to host teams from Florida, Texas and South Dakota who were in town for Thanksgiving celebrations later in the week.
There are not many photos because I was wearing my big bulky warm gloves and too many layers to get to my camera while we were moving. I did capture this shot of John and Mitzi Boland out on their maiden voyage on their beautiful, brand-new coupled titanium Seven tandem.
Unfortunately the Bolands had a little mechanical which prevented them from riding with the group and limited them to a 20 mile ride.
At “Your Pie” you wait in line and pick what you want on your pizza and they make it up individually for you (sort of like burritos at Moe’s)
Our next event will be the 2017 organizing party. The date and location are TBD, but I hope you will all think about hosting a ride in the coming year and are ready to volunteer when the time comes. Thanks to our 2016 hosts: the Bolands, team Leafman/McDaniel, the Rodriguez, team Davison/Pauly, the Keverns, and team Wood/Osgood. The club can only continue if we have ride leaders. This year, Roger and I hosted three of the nine rides. It would be nice if others stepped up too!
