Miles and Smiles in Madison

Fall was in the air on the September PEACHES ride. Arm warmers, wind breakers and vests were all the rage as we braved the 57 degree temps at ride start.

6 teams made the drive out to Morgan County and were rewarded with a magnificent day for cycling, low traffic roads and a fantastic lunch provided by our kind and generous hosts!

Half of the group averaged just over 16mph and rode 50 miles. Bryant Smith and Betsy Richards rode their recumbent 42 miles while our hosts, Jose and Sherry did 26 miles with Ron and Shari Scheiblauer.

A visit to the store in Good Hope does not disappoint. We ate the fresh biscuits so fast I didn’t get to photograph them.

After the ride we were treated to a tour of the homestead, a BBQ feast, and for those who were interested, a dip in the pool.
